King Fahd Qur’an Printing Complex in Brief

Inauguration
In response to the increasing need of Muslims the world over for copies of the Noble Qur’an, assuming the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims, and realising the importance of serving the Noble Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin ‘Abdul-‘Aziz, laid the foundation stone of King Fahd Qur’an Printing Complex in Madinah in 1982 and inaugurated it in 1984 as a body dedicated to carrying out this honourable task. On laying the foundation stone he said:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. With the blessing of Allah, the Exalted, the Able [do I lay this stone]… We pray that this project will be a blessing for the service of the Noble Qur’an, firstly, and Islam and Muslims, secondly. I pray to Allah, the Exalted, the Able, to grant us help and success in our religious and worldly affairs, and to make this project successful in fulfilling what it has been set up for, namely, the Noble Qur’an, so that Muslims may benefit from it and ponder on its meanings.
