Notes for Authors
The Journal of Qur’anic Research and Studies welcomes serious scholarly contributions in Arabic and English on the Noble Qur’an and its studies, the translation of the meanings of the Noble Qur’an and editing old manuscripts related to it.
Contributions should conform to the following:

• The length of contributions should normally be between 6000 and 12000 words.
• Three copies should be submitted, double-spaced with ample margins on one side of A4 sized paper.
• A soft copy of the contribution must be submitted. Text should be a Microsoft Word 2000 document (or a more recent version). Authors are welcome to send their contributions by e-mail, formatted as a Word attachment.
• A brief C.V. relevant to the scope of the journal should be submitted detailing the full contact information of the author and their institutional affiliation.
• An abstract of no more than 200 words should accompany the manuscript.
• Notes should appear page by page as they occur, i.e. in footnotes not endnotes. They should be numbered page by page.
• Qur’anic ayahs, and Traditional sayings should be preceded by the Arabic original and set apart from the body of the text.

The editorial board will consider original contributions set within sound theoretical or methodological frameworks, provided the material presented is rigorous. Submission of a contribution will be taken to imply that it has neither been published nor is being considered for publication elsewhere.
Contributors will be financially rewarded, receive five copies of the issue in which their contribution appears and twenty offprints of their contribution.
