Submitted by on June 15, 2017 – 12:10 pmNo Comment

Qalqalah is an important phonetic feature pertaining to the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an, and it is extensively dealt with in the science of tajwid.

The study of this important phonetic feature has elucidated the following points:

  • Qalqalah paves the way for ease in pronouncing the five letters of qalqalah, and this results in the pronunciation of these letters being pleasant to the ears. Both these features contribute to the fasāhah of the Qur’anic language.
  • Qalqalah helps these five letters preserve their identities and their qualities to the full extant.
